Nestled against the Colorado River, Yuma is the home to Arizona's Territorial Prison. The Prison was built in 1875 and closed in 1909. Since then it's played many roles in the community, serving as the hospital, VFW, and even high school for a time! It's now been converted to a museum where you can see the strap iron cells for yourself!
