Many of those incarcerated at the Yuma Territorial Prison worked on the other side of the law at one point or another. Some crossed that line and back again multiple times. Pete Spence was one such individual; after his involvement with the infamous Clantons at the O.K. Corral, he found work as a deputy sheriff, before once again running afoul of the law leading to his stay in Yuma.
